Statac

Problems explained

Missing value

error An error stops the build: nothing is published until it is fixed.

An option that needs a value was given without one. Statac’s options take their value after an =, with no space: --site=docs.

What you’ll see

error Missing value: `--site` needs a folder
  Write it as `--site=docs`.
  More: https://statac.dev/e/missing-value/

In the terminal the message also names the file and line where there is one, and marks the exact text.

Why Statac stops

Without its value the option means nothing, and Statac doesn’t guess one. When the value was written apart from the option, Statac offers the two joined.

How to fix it

Write the value straight after the option and an =.

Example

statac build --site docs

Join the option and its value:

statac build --site=docs

Its name

Namemissing-value
In the terminalstatac explain missing-value
To stop showing itIt stops the build, so it can't be quietened.
